REWRITING THE ‘90s YOUTH

INDIE NOSTALGIA is the return to the ‘90s youth, reinterpreting the aesthetic codes of the ethnic style and the nonconformity of grunge. The collection aims to feed the Gen Z’s appetite for novelty and the boldest versions of ourselves, which crave for change.

 

The FW23/24 collection appeals to the nostalgia of the late ’00 with a lively and casual touch. To convey this concept, some shapes and prints from the past are reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. Eclecticism is the starting point for the new proposal, which features bold shapes, knitwear and vibrant hues and prints that create flashy contrasts when combined, drawing all the attention. 

 

In order to create such a potent mix, loose and comfy shapes coexist with more tight-fitting cuts that enhance the woman’s body. Thin pullovers are layered with waistcoats, V-neck jackets and ornate jacquard coats. Sweater and skirt sets which create optical illusions can also be found in the collection, together with maxi-dresses combined with cropped cardigans, sweatshirts and other types of warm clothing. Our trademark knitwear crafts and traditional techniques could not be missed in the collection, which also features patchwork pieces, floral intarsias, geometric jacquards and striped garments in saturated tones. The primary colours are back, and so are the shocking combinations and layered outfits that offer a renewed expression of femininity with the causal touch of the ‘90s.
